If you're unsure about any step, check our CSV Guide or Google Sheets Guide for detailed instructions.

Input Requirements

  • CSV Files: Must be single column with text prompts
  • Google Sheets: Must be publicly accessible with "Anyone with link can view" permission
  • Format: One prompt per row, no headers required

Troubleshooting

If you see "Please enter a Google Sheet URL or upload a CSV file" when trying to start automation:

  • Upload a CSV file using the CSV tab
  • Or paste a Google Sheet URL in the Sheet tab
  • Ensure your Google Sheet is shared publicly

Manual Workspace Preparation

For best results, prepare your workspace manually before starting automation:

  1. Log in to your chosen platform (Flow, Leonardo, Midjourney, etc.)
  2. Create a new project or open an existing one
  3. Navigate to the prompt input area where you can paste prompts
  4. Keep this tab open - the extension will target this specific tab
Why Manual Preparation?

By preparing your workspace manually, you eliminate complex cross-checks and ensure reliable automation targeting. The extension will focus solely on pasting prompts to your prepared tab.

Tab Targeting Strategy

The extension uses a simplified approach:

  • Single Tab Focus: Targets the tab you have open
  • No Auto-Navigation: Won't create or switch tabs automatically
  • Clear Error Messages: If target tab isn't found, you'll get a simple notification
Multiple Playground Tabs

If you have multiple tabs of the same platform open, the extension will target the most recently active tab. For best results, keep only one playground tab open.

Extension Documentation

A comprehensive guide to leveraging the Flogent browser extension for advanced, automated image generation workflows.

CSV File Format Guide

The Flogent extension requires data files to follow a specific structure to parse prompts accurately. This ensures that every task is executed correctly.

Required Structure

Your document must contain exactly one column of data. Each row corresponds to a single prompt or instruction to be processed.

Structural Requirement

CSV files must be strictly a single column. Any additional columns or empty rows will trigger validation failures during processing.

Standard Syntax

For simple instructions, place each prompt on a new line:

A beautiful sunset over the ocean A cozy bookshelf with vintage novels Abstract geometric patterns in blue Portrait of a smiling cat wearing glasses Neon cityscape with flying vehicles

Advanced Parsing (Quoted Cells)

If your prompts utilize commas, line breaks, or special characters, you must enclose the entire cell within double quotes, complying with the RFC 4180 specification:

"A sunset with mountains, trees, and water" "Character design: Viking warrior, detailed armor, epic pose" "Product photo: Elegant pen, luxury feel, white background" "Landscape with buildings, roads, cars, and nature" "Technical diagram, blue and white, professional style"

Incorporating Negative Prompts

Negative constraints can be provided within the same cell by using a designated separator:

"Architectural photography, modern building | NEGATIVE PROMPT: blurry, low quality, distorted" "Portrait of a woman, professional lighting | NEGATIVE PROMPT: watermark, text" "Landscape painting, oil style | NEGATIVE PROMPT: duplicate, artifacts"

Google Sheets Guide

Flogent can directly access public Google Sheets for automation workflows. This guide covers proper URL formatting, sharing requirements, and troubleshooting common access issues.

Required Structure

Google Sheets must be publicly accessible and contain a single column of prompts. The extension automatically reads the first column as prompt data.

Public Access Required

Google Sheets must be shared with "Anyone with the link can view" permission. Private sheets will trigger access restrictions.

URL Format

Use the standard Google Sheets URL format:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/[SPREADSHEET_ID]/edit

Valid URL Examples:

  • https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/abc123def456ghi789/edit#gid=0

Invalid Formats:

  • Shortened URLs (bit.ly, goo.gl, etc.)
  • Published web page URLs
  • Download/export links
  • Non-Google Sheets URLs

Sharing Configuration

To make your Google Sheet accessible to Flogent:

  1. Open your Google Sheet
  2. Click the Share button (top-right)
  3. Under "General access", click Change to anyone with the link
  4. Set role to Viewer
  5. Click Done
Security Note

Only share sheets that contain non-sensitive data. "Anyone with the link" access means anyone who has the URL can view your data.

Data Requirements

  • Single Column: Only the first column (Column A) is read
  • Text Data: Each cell should contain prompt text
  • No Headers: First row is treated as data, not headers
  • Empty Cells: Blank rows are automatically skipped

Troubleshooting

Access Denied

Error: "This Google Sheet is private or access is restricted."

Resolution: Verify sharing settings are set to "Anyone with the link can view" and that you're using the correct URL format.

Sheet Not Found

Error: "The Google Sheet URL is invalid or sheet does not exist."

Resolution: Check that the URL is correct and the sheet hasn't been deleted. Ensure you're copying the full URL from the browser address bar.

Network Error

Error: "Cannot reach Google Sheets. Please check your internet connection."

Resolution: Verify your internet connection and try again. Some corporate networks may block Google Sheets access.

Best Practices

  • Test sheet accessibility by opening the URL in an incognito window
  • Keep prompt text concise for better processing
  • Remove empty rows before starting automation
  • Use descriptive sheet names for organization
  • Regularly validate sheet sharing permissions

Flow Automation Guide

Flow Automation is the core engine that bridges your data (CSV or Google Sheets) with your image generation platform. This guide explains how to prepare your browser for successful automation.

The Target Tab Principle

Flogent does not create new tabs or navigate for you. It targets the active tab that you have already prepared. This ensures maximum privacy and gives you full control over where prompts are sent.

Step-by-Step Preparation

  1. Open Your Platform: Open the generation platform you want to use (e.g., Google Flow).
  2. Stay on the Tab: Navigate to the project or workspace where you usually type your prompts.
  3. Check for Popups: Ensure there are no modal windows or popups blocking the prompt input area.
  4. Start Flogent: Open the extension, choose your data source, and click "Start Automation".
Resolving "Generator Tab Not Found"

If you see this error, it means Flogent couldn't find a tab that matches your automation settings.

  • Verify you are on the correct platform website.
  • Make sure the tab is fully loaded.
  • Ensure you aren't in "Incognito" mode (unless the extension is allowed).

Supported Platforms

Platform Target URL Recommended State
Google Flow docs.google.com/flow/... Workspace Ready
Leonardo.ai leonardo.ai/generation Input Field Focused
Midjourney (Web) midjourney.com/imagine Channel Active

Common Issues & Troubleshooting

Below are common validation errors and their corresponding resolutions.

Multiple Columns Detected

Log: "CSV format is incorrect. Please provide a single column with data only."

Resolution: Verify your spreadsheet contains only one active column. Delete any adjacent columns that might contain stray spaces or headers.

Empty File Executed

Log: "CSV file is empty. Please provide at least one row of data."

Resolution: The file was parsed but no valid text was found. Ensure your data is saved before uploading.

Inconsistent Row Formatting

Log: "CSV rows have inconsistent format. All rows must have the same structure."

Resolution: Check for unmatched quotation marks or inconsistent delimiter usage across rows.

Unusual Activity Guide

Google Flow may occasionally flag a session as "Unusual Activity" if it detects automated or high-frequency interactions that deviate from standard human behavior.

Adaptive Retry Shield

Flogent includes an automated retry mechanism. If a block is detected, the system will pause for a few seconds and attempt to resubmit your prompt automatically.

What is a "Hard Stop"?

If a single prompt fails to submit 3 times consecutively due to "unusual activity," Flogent will trigger a Hard Stop. This is a security measure to protect your Google account from further restrictions.

Recommended Recovery

If you encounter a Hard Stop, we recommend:

  • Wait 5-10 minutes before starting a new session
  • Increase your submission delay to 3 seconds
  • Refresh your Flow tab manually

Operational Best Practices

To maximize efficiency and output quality, adhere to these recommendations:

  • Prompt Clarity: Maintain detailed and descriptive phrasing to reduce ambiguity during generation.
  • Proper Escaping: Always use double quotes for complex prompts containing commas or line breaks.
  • Initial Validation: Utilize the provided demo file to verify your local configuration before executing large batches.
  • Size Management: While the extension handles payloads up to 10MB, segmenting data into smaller batches yields faster processing times.
  • Data Sanitization: Eliminate trailing blank rows or whitespace before initiating a run.
  • Encoding Standards: Save your files using UTF-8 encoding to guarantee cross-platform compatibility.
